Maruti e Vitara range is up to 543km for India-spec car

Yes, the India-spec Maruti Suzuki e Vitara has an ARAI-certified range of up to 543 km. This range is available with the larger 61 kWh battery pack offered in the Zeta and Alpha variants. 

The electric SUV will be available with two battery options: 

  • 49 kWh battery pack: This is offered exclusively in the base Delta variant and has a WLTP claimed range of 344 km.
  • 61 kWh battery pack: This larger pack, available in the Zeta and Alpha variants, provides an ARAI-certified range of up to 543 km on a single charge. 

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara was officially unveiled for the Indian market in December 2025, and sales are scheduled to begin in early 2026. 

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the e Vitara in India-spec form. The carmaker’s first electric offering in the country is available in 49kWh and 61kWh variants and gets an ARAI-rated range of up to 543km.

For charging the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki has set up over 2,000 charging points in 1,100-plus cities in India. Additionally, it has collaborated with 13 charging point operators (CPOs) for access to a wider charging infrastructure and aims to establish a network of over 1 lakh charging points by 2030 in partnership with its dealers and CPOs. Maruti claims to have a charger available every 5-10km, accessible via the ‘e For Me’ app. It also has over 1,500 EV-ready workshops for service support, and will offer doorstep service as well.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be available with two battery pack options: 49kWh and 61kWh, both with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. The ARAI-rated range for the larger battery pack is 543km. The e Vitara will be available in three trims. The base trim, Delta, will have the 49kWh battery pack, and the Zeta and Alpha trims will get the larger unit. Maruti has also confirmed that the e Vitara received a 5-star safety rating from the BNCAP.
