The 2026 MG Hector facelift price starts at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the facelift model more accessible than its predecessor, which started at Rs 14 lakh.

Key Features and Updates

The 2026 MG Hector facelift, launched on December 15, 2025, brings several exterior and interior updates and continues to offer a feature-packed experience: 

  • Exterior Design: The facelift features a bolder new ‘Aura Hex’ grille with a revised hexagonal pattern and redesigned front/rear bumpers. It retains the split LED headlamps and DRLs, adds new 18-inch alloy wheels, and introduces new color options like Celadon Blue and Pearl White.
  • Interior and Technology: The cabin receives a dual-tone Urban Tan interior theme on six- and seven-seater models (five-seater variants get Ice Grey and black) and an upgraded 14-inch i-Swipe touchscreen infotainment system with gesture controls. Features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an Infinity by Harman sound system are carried over.
  • Safety: The updated Hector is equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), six airbags, a 360-degree camera with a new wheel-view function, electronic stability control, and hill-hold assist.
  • Powertrain: It retains the existing 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (143 bhp, 250 Nm torque) with 6-speed manual or CVT options. The 2.0-litre diesel engine option will be available later. 

MG India has introduced another facelift for the first-generation Hector, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Prices for the updated MG Hector Plus (7 seater) were also announced, with the range starting at Rs 17.29 lakh. So far, MG has announced prices only for the petrol variants.

2026 MG Hector facelift exterior

New Hector

The size of the massive grille appears unchanged, but new honeycomb-like patterns replace the diamond-shaped ones, and the design of the air dam below has been revised. The alloy wheels are new too, but the lighting has been carried over, including the split headlamp setup and the LED lighting elements that connect the tail-lamps on either end.

New Celadon Blue and Pearl White shades have been added to the palette, joining Aurora Silver, Starry Black and Glaze Red, taking the total colour options to five.

In addition to the new interior colour scheme, MG has updated the portrait-style 14-inch touchscreen with its iSwipe touch gesture control technology, which allows the front passengers to adjust climate using two fingers and audio with three.

2026 MG Hector facelift engine options

Both the updated Hector and Hector Plus will offer the same engine and gearbox options as their outgoing counterparts. The Hector petrol lineup comes with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine generating 143hp and 250Nm, and is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The Hector diesel variants use a 2-litre motor that develops 170hp and 350Nm, but it is solely paired to a manual gearbox.
